VACANCY NOTICE

Job Title: Executive Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation
Work Location: SLOC Inc Headquarters
Work Duration : 24 months.

Position Overview

The Saint Lucia Olympic Committee Inc. seeks to ensure a strong and vibrant national sports ecosystem, including the delivery of efficient operations and administrative accountability of the national federations (NFs) (also known as member federations) that govern the various sports in the country. Therefore, the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee Inc. seeks to establish the role of Executive Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation to provide an increased and empowered level of monitoring, evaluation and support of the member federations.

Job responsibilities will include among other things:

  1. Develop and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures and performance indicators that measure critical components of good governance and organizational excellence in the SLOC Inc.’s member federations, with input from and alignment with the SLOC Executive Board and in communication with leadership of the member federations.
  2. Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress of member federations in line with established evaluation framework.
  3. Report monthly and end-of-year progress on all monitoring and evaluation processes and results of member federations to the SLOC Inc Executive Board, providing relevant information and statistics regarding organizational performance of the member federations.
  4. Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops for member federations and SLOC team members relevant to the continued enhancement of Monitoring and Evaluation processes.
  5. In collaboration with the Project Development Officer and other relevant team members, develop and prepare monthly management information system (MIS) report that can be further accessed, on demand, by SLOC Inc’s internal member and relevant stakeholders.
  6. Work with the Project Development Officer in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project impacts throughout the organization as it pertains to the organizational performance of the member federations.
  7. Prepare and maintain database of quantitative and qualitative data from Monitoring and Evaluation processes.
  8. Where charged by the Directors, direct and manage affairs of the SLOC Inc, including employment and discharge of agents and employees, and provide relevant updates of such affairs to the Directors.
  9. Where applicable, lead the training and development of stakeholders, staff and other relevant parties in the curriculum related to the promotion of Olympism and Olympic Education, under the National Olympic Academy.

Qualification Required

The minimum qualifications for this position are: Bachelor’s degree in a related Sports field plus at least five years’ experience in Sports Administration OR fifteen years’ experience in Sports Administration; Plus working knowledge of the Olympic Movement and Directorship Training by the International Olympic Committee.
